Explorer Error

I have been receiving an Explorer Error on my computer, everytime that I turn it on, for about 4 days now.  The error states: Explorer has caused an error in ~7568797292.TMP.
Explorer will now close.  If I click it to close it, it automatically shuts down my computer.  I can still work on my computer as long as I just move the error message around out of my way.  My computer has also been freezing up A LOT, and I end up restarting it probably around 8 times a day!  I don't know what else to do, could someone please help???!!  Thanks

Both of you likely have either a virus or spyware causing these problems. My first suggestion is to make sure you have an updated anti-virus running. Get one or update the one you have.

    Next, download Ad-Aware from here:
    http://lavasoft.element5.com/support/download/
    Install, UPDATE and run.
You may need to reboot and run again to clean all the nasties that cannot be deleted at once (“in use).

Also excellent is SpyBot Search & Destroy available here:
    http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=download
    Install, UPDATE and run.
You may need to reboot and run again to clean all the nasties that cannot be deleted at once (“in use).

Even if Ad-Aware and SpyBot S&D are similar, they do clean different things. You should have both of them and use REGULARLY.

Post back if that works, or if you're still having problems.

Just wanted to let you know that I am having almost the exact same problem, except my error message mentions the file ~7086517381.TMP . I came on this board to hopefully find a solution... my computer has been this way for over a week and it is really annoying, and I'm afraid it is going to lead to other things getting messed up since it freezes so often and has to be rebooted incorrectly. If anyone has any advice on how to fix this problem it would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks.

I was caught in the same problem.  I just simply notified Dell that I wanted to start completely over and they helped me through the process of clearing out all of these computer problems and reformating my C: drive.  If you want to go through the trouble of backing up all of your computer's information, not to mention about 4 to 8 hours of your time, you can reformat your computer by reinstalling the operating program.  For me, it ended "weekends" of frustration.  Good Luck!
