FastAccess + Google Chrome + Google Maps = Bug

For anyone experiencing the sticky mouse click bug in Google Maps, try disabling the FastAccess SSO extension.

Yes, I visited SesibleVision first, but they don't support FastAccess if it's pre-installed on a Dell computer. Instead, they say "Dell Computer is the exclusive provider of support for Dell's version of FastAccess. For questions or product support please contact Dell Computer directly."

Since I couldn't find a support option to report bugs to Dell, I came here instead. Does Dell have an official bug report channel?

Thanks.

fuzzy_oz,

Thank you for sharing this information. Did you report this to Sensible Vision Support? The people at Sensible Vision, the people that supply Fast Access Facial Recognition Software would like to know this so they can help to correct this.

I have the latest version installed.

To amend my previous statement, I actually have recreated the issue in 3.1.80. It's possible that Google changed something that made the issue re-appear (they've been issuing Chrome updates at a rather furious pace lately).

I'm seeing it somewhat differently than last time, however. This time the left click "sticks" 100% of the time if FastAccess is in "Off" mode. It sticks much less often (maybe 10% of the time in my brief testing) and the condition is far easier to clear while in any of the the other FastAccess modes (any of the ones where FastAccess is enabled. Is this consistent with what you're seeing as well?

I've made note of my findings for the engineers who will now work to get it resolved. Thanks for the observation.

Although we prefer for people to go to Dell first we will, in fact, provide support when requested. The Google maps issue is known and was actually fixed back in version 3.1.60 in June of 2011. Update to the current FastAccess version and it will go away.

Same here, but more than 10%, maybe 30-40% and I get 100% if web login is disabled also.

Web Login detail confirmed...it appears that it's the disabling of the browser extension (which disabling the software or the Web Login feature would both do) that really does it. I'll add that to the report. Thanks again.
