Fatal Error during Installation/Error 1602

Question

When running the installer to upgrade the ATI Multimedia Center from version 8.8 to the latest 9.1 the installation is halted with the following error message:"Fatal Error During installation-Error 1602".

I tried downloading the installer again thinking it might 've been corrupted, but get the same error. ATI support is useless.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the link, but unfortunately it's of no help, it does not offer any solution.
