Having problems with Java software....

I am able to play Pogo games using my AOL Browser just fine. When I attempt to play them using Internet Explorer I get a Pogo error message that says:
Java Not Found or Not Working
Explanation: This error means Java (one of the technologies built into most browsers) is not working correctly on your browser.
What do I need to do to be able to play on Internet Explorer? Thanks.

Go to http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp
Follow the link for "Download JRE 5.0 Update 5 "
Accept the license agreement
select "Windows Online Installation, Multi-Language".

ok...i went to sun java site to download and i got this message "the installation package could not be opened, verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package." what does thatis mean...and is dell the vendor?
