See if clearing your temporary Internet files (Tools|Internet Options|General tab, click "Delete files") restores your view source capability. If it does not, in the interime you can open HTML files in Notepad, make changes, then save from there.

Thanks for the prompt answer.  I emptied my temp files and still no View Source.  I called my son at college and he suggested notepad may have been deleted therefore the files wouldn't open.  Not the case either.  I was able to open directly through notepad, so thank you for that tip.  My son suggested to browse with Netscape or even better download OPERA which is what he uses.  I already have Netscape on my computer and I opened the webpages that way and was able to view source.  Very strange.  I just automatically use IE maybe I should get used to using a different browser.
