How do I remove Dell (partition) Restore?

While trying to install Phoenix Recover Pro 6 (a powerful system restore product), it aborts because Dell (Symantec?) Restore conflicts with it (in the MBR, I presume).
 
I have no intention of ever restoring my hard drive to its shipped state, so I would appreciate it very much if someone can tell me how to remove Dell Restore from my Inspiron 6000.  Is there an uninstall procedure, or do I have to use Windows' Recovery Console to do a fixmbr?

Yes, fixmbr from XP recovery console (or even fdisk /mbr from Win98 boot disk) will break the link to the Dell restore partition, then just use Partition Magic or anything similar to nuke the restore partition and recreate a usable partition or merge its space into an adjacent partition.
 
I'm not familiar with the product, but do you think Phoenix Recover is really bailing because of the Dell MBR?  I could understand it complaining about non-standard partition types, but I think it would be rather sophisticated if it really read/evaluated the MBR boot code.  I mention this because if it's really the partition-type code it's tripping over (the restore partition is type 'DB'), then you might still have a problem if you remove the restore partition and it next trips over the Dell Utility partition (type 'DE', another non-standard type).

Thanks dg...   While I'm not 100% certain that Phoenix Recover Pro 6 is complaining about Dell Restore, I strongly suspect it because just like Dell PC Restore and other 3rd party system restore programs (e.g., GoBack, FirstDefense-ISR, RestoreIT, etc.) , PRP6 needs to control the MBR so that it can intercept the bootup process.

In any case, I can't understand why Dell does not provide an uninstaller for PC Restore.  While Dell PC Restore is listed in Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs, there's no provision for removing it (now that really makes a lot of sense)!
