Open up Computer, stick drive in. Right-click, click properties, select readyboost tab. It will tell you if it's usable and how much to use. Take it from there. lol
did as kp127 suggested, viz "Open up Computer, stick drive in. Right-click, click properties, select readyboost tab. It will tell you if it's usable and how much to use. Take it from there. lol"

So, have you seen any quantitative improvement in performance? What installed RAM do you have? I played with this myself with a 2G MicroCruzer and saw absolutely no difference with 2G installed RAM. Bill
You probably won't see much difference in operation with 2GB RAM unless you are running lots of programs. Other benefits will be faster booting and program loading for programs you use most.
Dimension 9100, Win XP, 3.0 GHz P4, 2 GB DDR2 533 MHz RAM, 160 GB SATA II Samsung, 300 GB SATA II Seagate, 250 GB SimpleTech USB (WD Drive), Nvidia Go 6800 (425/825 MHz), Dell 1901 FP UltraSharp
Yup, still getting a feel for the benefits of RB. It seems to help me have about 17 windows open concurrently without slowing the system. I have 1gB installed and have set aside 512mB on the the flash drive. Seems like a pretty cunning trick, anyway. Can one do something similar in XP?
