Installation wizard interruped before program installed

Question

I'm trying to install a program and upon attempting to do so, almost immediately get an error message which says:   The wizard was interrupted before (your program) could be completely installed.  Your system has not been modified.  To complete installation at another time, please run setup again.  Click Finish to complete the Wizard.   This is happening with Dell Movie Studio/Roxio Videowave Movie Creator on an XP Home machine.  All antivirus programs had been turned off prior to attempting to install.  Any ideas on how to overcome this? Thanks!

Are you able to install any other program? is your system running xp service pack 3 ???

I am able to install other programs and I do have service pack 3 installed.

Last night I actually got the issue resolved. I ran Windows Install Cleanup and used it to get rid of the registry entries for an older installation of this particular program.

I then cleaned the disk well and tried to reinstall. It worked without a hitch. Thanks
