I also ran into the same issue. I received this message after re-installing from the resource CD. The SHLWAPI.dll cannot be located. Can anyone help with this problem? Thanks.

I am happy/sad to see that others have the same trouble. I reinstalled Win XP, now my Explorer won't open saying "The procedure entery point SHRegGetValueW could not be located in the dynamic lib SHLWAPI.dll
I wonder if any of you found a solution. I don't have Paperport nor Canon Creative.
in addition, when I try to open Word or Outlook I get a message "Application failed to initialize properly (oxc0150002)
If any one has a solution let me know, PLEASE

Second question, if I dont find the product key no on my operating cd for reinstallation, where could I find the number. The envelope it came in is witohout numbers. I have the product key for the office XP but not for the operating cd for reinstall

I did managed to resolved the problem by doing a clean install of the XP OS...which means that i deleted the existing C'drive & recreated a new NTFS partition on it b4 re-installing XP...downside though,if u have not make any backup elsewhere...u'll lose all data...I dont think u'll be ask for the product key if ur reinstalling on same PC...Good Luck:smileyvery-happy:

I succeded by installin service pack 2 through another PC cd. But it is slowwwww
As for the cd product number, indeed it asks for it even though it is Dell.
I found out that the product key, since about 2002 is located on the chassis of the PC with a sticker
Thank you for your advice of complete reformat, I am about ready emotionally to do it.
