Ok, I've fixed the problem. Apparently it's a windows problem. Task scheduler has only a limited buffer and if you have a few user accounts it can't cope with it. None of the scheduled tasks had been running. So the fix for now is that you have to delete some or all of the scheduled tasks and wait 15 minutes. Microsoft do not have a hotfix for it yet for SP2. They say wait for the next service pack!!

Binka, I'm glad it is fixed.  Personally, I do not schedule anything except anitivirus updates.
