Microsoft Office Starter 2010

The hard drive of my trusty XPS 8100 finally bit the dust. For forty bucks I replaced it with a fresh hard drive, reinstalled the Win 7 system that came with Dell's flash drive, and updated to Win 10. So far so good. But...

The Office Starter that came pre-packed with the XPS seems to be lacking, so I have no Word, Excel is missing in action, and I am PowerPointless. Even with a new hard drive I should still have those apps, no?

What do I do, please?

Further: I thought I had solved the problem just now when I located the product key on the Dell label on the tower. But the 25-character key isn't recognized when I try to register. Is it no longer valid because of the change of hard drive?
