Missing devices in Device Manager
Windows Defender keeps alerting me to missing Base System Devices under Other Devices. There are two base devices and one unknown device. How do I find out what's missing? Shows this under events for first both base systems:
Device PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E852&SUBSYS_04421028&REV_01\4&33a64b3b&0&02E3 requires further installation;
and this for the third one Unknown Device: Device ACPI\SMO8800\1 requires further installation.
Did repair install with in place upgrade of Windows 10 last week. Bought Vostro 3700 laptop with Win 7.
What other info needed?

barb55,
The drivers needed are the Windows 10 chipset drivers for this computer. Unfortunately, there are no Windows 10 drivers for this computer to download.

barb55,
There are no Windows 10 drivers for this computer. Windows 10 is not supported by Dell on this computer. The means that Dell did not create any Windows 10 drivers for the system. You can leave Windows 10 on the computer but, you may have issues because of the lack of Drivers. You can also put Windows 7 back on the computer and download the drivers for your computer.

Barb55,
These are the answers I hate from corporate robots. While it is true that Dell does not support Windows 10 for your PC, that doesn't mean all is lost. The error is a device or piece that Windows doesn't know how to handle, which is why a driver is needed. A driver should exist for this device but it may have to be sourced elsewhere... Go to Google and search for Device PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E852&SUBSYS_04421028&REV_01\4&33a64b3b&0&02E3, something is bound to come up.

Device PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E852&SUBSYS_04421028&REV_01\4&33a64b3b&0&02E3 refers to your Ricoh storage controller for your sd card.
If you scroll through http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=VEN_1180%26 there are win 8 and win 10 drivers you can try at your own risk.
