my SD drive is not working

i have formated my laptop inspiron 6000 and installed windows xp sp2, then i installed DeLL nootbook system software and chipset but my SD card didn't appear dose anybody knows what to do ? is the problem with windowssp2 onley? thanks

The SD driver is part of WinXP. What shows up in Device Manager?

it shows that the drive is blugged and installd, but still can't see it when i open my computer
