MyDell not opening without update but it doesn't update either

MyDell is not working, I want it to open because there is a warning sign near the battery and I have to figure it out. It does not update and doesn't open at all. What is the issue here? And before Dell messages me for asking the service code, let me tell you that THERE IS NO SERVICE CODE FOR THE MY DELL APP!

It would help if you post the exact model number of your system. Also the service tag number that Dell usually requests would be on a sticker on the bottom of the unit generally. If you do not see a sticker then this web page has information that will help you retrieve it.

"service tag" - good advice !  He should also check for updates and drivers and mention which operating system he has.  I have the same issue except there is no error message in regards to battery. Started yesterday.    I spent over 3 hrs yesterday with a Dell tech who knew less than I do (I'm not techie and I kid you not) with no resolution in addition to making other problems for me to resolve.  I know a  critical BIOS update was posted on April 13 for windows 10.  I have Windows 11.   I uninstalled and installed the My Dell app again which didn't resolve the issue.  Did the same for the supportassist app.  I noticed the same question I have has already been asked.  Solution was to ask Microsoft :)))

Hi!

I had the same problem  (I'm on a brand new XPS 15 9510), the  solution was to update "Fusion Service" from Dell, you find the details in the thread here:

Edit: Sorry, I missed @Staarr linked to the same thread below

Hi solG,

"Fusion" ... that's the thing.  I had the latest update for "Fusion".  I kept getting the same message over and over and over - update Fusion .  I reinstalled both the Support Assist and My Dell app and restarted my computer over and over.  No change.  Support Assist was not working correctly and MY Dell app was not working at all.  Everything seems to be fine now except my  "MY DELL" app is completely different now.  I don't  understand why windows doesn't just automatically update.  Now I get messages from Support Assist that an update is available. Thanks!
