Nero Blu-ray player

Hi ,

Please can anyone help me? I have Inspiron 7520 with pre-installed  blu-ray player (Nero) but when I went to run this I get a message saying a file is missing. The file specified is d3dx9_43.dll

What is the easiest way to get this file installed? A big thanks to the person/people who can help me in this issue! I want to try blu-ray for the first time and have got the disc waiting, just no player to play it!

I talked to a Dell Technical Support agent for approximately two hours and he was unable to solve my problem. I read your post and followed the instructions and my problem was solved immediately -it turns out that I need to install DirectX-. Thank you very much!

Hi,

Let’s try the following  steps and check:

Perform system restore.

  • Click on 'Start'
  • Click on 'All Programs' then click 'Accessories'
  • Click on 'System Tools'
  • Click on the 'System Restore'
  • Then click 'Next' on the "Restore system files and settings" window
  • Then choose the restore point that you want to use(choose a date when the system was working good)
  • After that click 'next' to continue
  • Then click 'Finish' on the "Confirm your restore point" window to start the System Restore
  • Then Click 'Yes' to the once started, System Restore cannot be interrupted. Do you want to continue? dialog box.
  • System Restore will now restore Windows 7 to the state that was recorded in the restore point.
  • Immediately after logging in to Windows 7 after the reboot, you should see a message that System Restore completed successfully.
  • Click Close, restart the computer and check if the issue still persists

If the above steps do not work, then download and install DirectX:

  • Click on the link http://bit.ly/KSPXU6
  • Save the file on the desktop
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the file
  • Restart the computer and check if the issue still persists

Please reply if you have any questions.

This problem occurs when I updated Nero 10 and installed Blu-ray player.

I restored pc to a earlier restore point and got rid of the problem.

I tried clicking on the Nero check for updates and again it displayed Blu-ray player but showed a larger file download.

I installed it and recieved the same error again.

Restored and gave up on the bad download / update.

Sir,

I've followed the procedure as you suggested to run the "Nero Blu-Ray Player"

but, it unfortunately doesn't work as it displays an application error-

"The instruction at 0x015c3cc5 referenced memory at 0x00542000. The memory could not be written"

This is where I require your assistance. Please respond as quick as you can.

Nero was added to my computer through an update so I don't have an earlier version so the first part is out of the question.  Downloaded the second part and restarted computer and now have a new error:  "The instruction at 0x01873cc5 referenced memory at 0x006fe00. The memory could not be written."

Any additional help would be awesome.

Thanks

Jeff
