.net framework service packs fail to download

One thing that is safe and worth trying is to disable any 3rd party firewall (if you use one- but make sure Windows Firewall is re-enabled) and also to temporarily shut down your anti-virus, then go to Start> Windows Update (or Microsoft Update) and try to download those updates from there.
Be sure to re-enable your AV after trying this (whether or not it works).

 

Lots of people have reported this problem, and if the above does not work, then you are probably best advised just to hide those updates at Windows Update (or Microsoft Update) til MS fixes this problem, so you won't get repeated requests to re-install that just fail.

 

To hide an update, follow these steps:

1. Click Start and then  Windows Update (or Microsoft Update).
2. Click Custom button, and wait for scan to finish.
3. Deselect (uncheck) the updates you want to hide.
4. Expand the update details (Click the " +" in the box) and then check the option Don't show this update again.

Is download failing or installing? If installing is failing.

Uninstall them all completley, re-install, go to Microsoft Update and it will work.

Hi eveyone thanks for your replies.....I've tried all you have listed here, and they still will not download they fail.  I used the cleanup ulitlity, and rebooted, and still they fail.
