NET Framework update. yes or no

Are Security Updates for Microsoft .NET Framework important? Just wondering if I have to download them?

Thanks!

Yes.

I use the Microsoft Update site (rather than automatic updates) for critical updates, and have always accepted any .NET Framework updates without any problems subsequently. Several apps require them, and if presented as a Security update, I would advise getting them.

I'm with Joe - never rejected a security update.  Too risky, since the vulnerability is by then well publicized.

If the question is more about whether the actual frameworks are necessary, XP Media Center functions  themselves require .net Framework 1.0 or 1.1.

I put off getting the actual 2.0 and 3.0 Frameworks for a while (not updates, the actual frameworks) but finally just got them all to get it over with, and have had no problems either.
