.Net Framework versions - which one to install - HELP

Some of my programs require Microsoft .Net Framework version 1.1, while others version 3, while others may require some different versions. Do I have to install all versions, or I can install only the latest? And older programs which require version 1.1 wpould be happy?

Please advise (last time, before REINSTALL of OS, I had 3 different versions and one of them got messed up, and I could not fixed it).

Thanks a lot for your help.

It depends on the system requirements of your program.  By the way, installing .NET Framework v3.5 will also install 2.0 and 3.0 on your computer.

One program just asked for version 1.1, and I remember that I have somewhere program which need 3.5 - so do I have to install both versions?

Also, I can install more than 1 version in any order, or oldest should go first?

Please advise.

I am on SP2 - I heard some things/changes about SP3 which I don't like, so I decided to stay on SP2 for a while.

Yes, you can "mix" up the order of installation.  I recommend install only what your application(s) need as part of the system requirements.
