.Net Framework/Question

I'm about to clean install Windows XP Pro SP2. Should I install .Net Framework 1.1, 2.0 or both? Thanks.

Depends what your applications require.  Some requires 1.1 (e.g., Dell Media Exprience, Microsoft SyncToy PowerToy), others 2.0 (e.g., Paint.NET 2.0, Notebook Hardware Control).  The two versions are mutually exclusive thus 2.0 is not a replacement or upgrade from 1.1, so only install what you need.

I agree with the latter half of your statement, but maybe the first part is open to misinterpretation (one might think you mean that one can only have one or the other). Maybe slightly better:

The two versions are not mutually exclusive, they run side by side, thus 2.0 is not a replacement or upgrade from 1.1, so only install what you need.

No offence intended :-)

Hmmm.... if there is any ambiguity, probably best to just leave that out and just go with "2.0 is not a replacement or upgrade from 1.1, so only install what you need".
