outlook express passwords problems

Hi
Can anyone offer me advise on what to do or who I should be speaking too. I have problems logging on to my email acounts using outlook express. I can retreive emails from the ntl webite. I have spoken to them and they said the emails are being received. I have another email that I registered with a domain site. After speaking to them, they said the settings were wrong but they have altered it and it should be working. I received their test email. Apart from that one i havent had any others to either of my emails addresses. It keeps stating password error, although I know i have been using the correct passwords. Also I have spoken to dell, who said I should be talking to the domain hosts or ntl who both say its working but its not. Do you think its a problem with outlook express? should I be able to install it again. I dont seem to have a disc to reinstall, should I have had one when I brought my computer in nov 05.
Any advice would be very helpful. Not sure what to do next. Thanks Michele

In MOST cases it's either an account setup issue with Outlook Express or a problem with the ISP.

Doublecheck your account setup, a capital letter where it should be lower case will cause the problem, entering a number zero for letter o, or vice versa will cause problems.  A space where there should not be a space, etc.

Hi Firdberd Thank you for replying to my email problem so quickly. I have contacted ntl again to double check settings and they suggested removing all three email accounts and starting again. That didnt work so they suggested removing the (domain named) email address as it could have been affecting my ntlworld email. That sorted the problem instantly. So the problem lies with the domain email address. I will contact them again on Monday. This all started when I downloaded multiple IE's then a stand alone IE7. I cant help thinking it changed all the settings!!? Who knows. Thanks alot for you advice. Regards michele
