PCM Service?

Does PCMService have to be running at all times?  It is the biggest resource hog on the system and most of the time I do not use the Media Experience features.  How can I stop it from running and just use it when I need it?

Unfortunately (or fortunately ;)), I am not familiar with Media Experience.
If you don't need it at all, use Add/Remove programs to uninstall it, and then (if necessary – restart computer to test) remove it from Startup:

If you DO need it, then check Media Experience (Options or Preferences) for Disable at Startup or similar option.
If Media Experience doesn't have the option, remove it from Startup using the link above.

Please search this Forum (using "PCMService") for additional information.

Hope this helps!
