Problem Deleting "Pando" Program.,

I downloaded the  Pando program, to watch video files but ever since I downloaded it my computer has been "acting up" I found I had all sorts of malware and spyware, so I started deleting everything I didn'y use. When I got to the Add/Remove section and tried to remove Pando, some how it makes Microsoft Internet Explorer pop up about 20 times one behind the other, rapidly. Can anyone help me? Everytime I try to lcick on the Remove, nothing happens for a moment then the blank Internet Explorer pages.

I don't know about Pando, but have you looked in the Pando folder? Is there an uninstall program there? Sometimes it's called unwise.exe or similar.

Failing that, right click on the icon for Pando - if it's still there - and look for the path. Where does the path lead?

It certainly sounds like you have malwares & spywares; and the way your Internet Explorer is acting, possibly a browser hijack too.
Download, update, and run the free scanner above. When you get to their homepage, click the blue box for the "free edition".  It's a very thorough scan too...see what it finds.

I've never heard of Pando neither.... unknown exactly what it is....

have you tried going to www.pando.com and going to the help section and then go to troubleshooting?  maybe that might solve your problem.

Wow, it's all self-explanatory now...  Good find pishbloom; I never heard of that website and gave it site a look over...  Anything that involves " peer to peer " sharing of files immediately throws up the ole' red flag warning about not knowing who, what, or where you are allowing to infiltrate your computer.

I no longer have the icon on the tray, I've deleted all of that so far. Can you think of any other way I might be able to look at?

I went to that site and would you believe there's no clear explanation, as far as I can see, as to how to uninstall.

The many joys of trusting those peer - to - peer networks. My nephew had a similar problem but his was even worse. He lost many photos, music files, and other personal files by doing a forced reinstall of XP.
Not sure exactly how his computer got so crippled up, but I do know it was infected from downloading piggy stuff from those peer - to - peer websites.

He got mad at me when I told him ...   " You play around with the bull, and sooner or later you're gonna get the horn.."
I thought it was a joke........ but he thought otherwise...:smileyvery-happy:

Sometimes I just can't win, lol....:smileysurprised:

Ctrl+Alt+Del – Task Manager – Running Processes – is Bugsplat.dll there? If so kill the process and any others related to Pando then try deleting the files from Windows Explorer.

Failing that, do a registry search for

900d75e862a890393e7c496aa51b9d41

This is the MD5 entry for Bugsplat.dll

At this stage back up your registry.

Once 900d75e862a890393e7c496aa51b9d41 is removed, the file should be removable.
