There can be multiple things which make Internet Explorer not respond such as any third party toolbars and scripts which it doesn't like. Basically every time an application crashes you should get an error report and unfortunately Windows isn't completely robust so its normal for you to get a few of these in particular if you use your computer alot. mdlresolversvc.exe and Real Downloader is related to the RealPlayer.
It can be advisable to carry out some software maintenance using the likes of CCleaner and Defraggler aswell as Malwarebytes' Antimalware. See here for details:

I do those maintenance operations on a regular basis.
I think it's just Windows and its vagaries.
