This is assuming you managed to download the Updates but they will not install
Start/Run and type in the box
regsvr32 /s wuapi.dll
OK
Repeat the above for all of the following dlls
regsvr32 /s wuaueng1.dll
regsvr32 /s wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 /s wucltui.dll
regsvr32 /s wups2.dll
regsvr32 /s wups.dll
regsvr32 /s wuweb.dll
I did what byou said and on the top one i clicked start/run and put in regsvr32/s wuapi.dll and hit ok and a message came up: can not find regsrv32/ So I retyped it without the space between the /s the w and the same thing. The message came up. Then I tried all the others and always the message can not find regsrv32/ came up and I still can not download the updates. I tried clicking the update deal in the bottom toolbar and going to microsoft to download them and i always seem to get the message some of your downloads can not be installed and there is like 83 at the begging and 83 at the end that were never installed.
So do you have any ideas as to the problem or what would I do next?
This is the way to fix your problem. I don`t think you are typing the commands properly
Try it this way
Step 1. Open Notepad (or any text editor).
Step 2.
Copy and paste the following command lines into the Notepad window (the /s switch runs the commands silently, freeing you from having to press Enter after each line):
Thanks the way this one was typed up was a lot clearer and easyer to see where the spaces were and I was able to type it in and it worked just fine an fact the damed thing keeps bothering me to restart now after the downloads were loaded.
