Problems with XP

I have a few problems with my new PC and XP. Everytime i boot the system32 folder opens. thats realy annoying.

then i have a few unknown to me applications that want to connect to the internet, like SCVHos.exe, this exe is 4 times in my taskmanager, what the heck is this? The same like ALG.exe and Spoolsv.exe

Anyone a idea how to disable the opening of the folder at startup?

Kaldor, For the system32 folder that opens you can find the answer here: http://www.djdenham.com/New%20user%20questions.htm

Are you asking about the process SVCHOST.EXE? If you are you can read about it here. I also have four sometimes five of these services running. I believe these are part of XP. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314056

Kaldor, That would be my best guess. Did you try unchecking /L:GER?
