Let me desribe to you my current problems with the xps 600. I've had a program on my computer that I didn't want, but couldn't delete. It wasn't spyware, it was Microsoft Visual Basic (which I downloaded). I thought to myself "hey, it won't be so bad. Its only about 30 megabytes out of my 300 gigabyte hard drive, it won't matter." But it did matter. Up to that point, I averaged 96.5 frames per second playing Medal of Honor Allied Assault. But after I downloaded Microsoft and a few other minor things, my computer started going extremely slow to the point that I had .1 frames per second. That was terrible. So, I decided to get my system restore cd (I attempted to restore at a given point, and all went well except the programs were still there) and it went normal. On the positive side, my computer went a lot faster. The negative side is that it almost deleted everything off my hard drive INCLUDING my utilities and drivers EXCEPT those programs I downloaded. So, I just decided to get my drivers and utilities back on the computer so I can go on the internet, and all was fine. BUT THEN, I restarted my computer today and now I find that my internet explorer has almost been completely taken off my computer! I don't see it on my start menu, like I used to, nor do I see a shortcut, but I can click on a link on my AIM and it still acts normal! And not to mention that my Windows Media Player isn't working properly, so I can hardly listen to any music besides Launchcast on yahoo. I don't know WHAT the problem is, and I don't know HOW to fix it. I have my warranty which lasts a year, I'm not even close to having it for 2 months, still considered new. What should I do? I'm not going to download a spyware program, it seems as if whenever I post something on here they always give me a link to a spyware program. I don't have spyware. My programs are just messed up and won't do what I want them to.
