Reinstall from .iso?
I dropped my laptop and my harddrive was damaged. I replaced it and I'm attempting to reinstall Windows 8 from an ISO, because laptops dont come with reinstall disks anymore I guess. There is no product key on the case, and I've just read that they are baked into the motherboard... Is there any way to retrieve the key? I don't want to wait when I use to be able to do this myself, plus, they don't ship to PO Boxes.

Hi,
If you have a OEM copy of Windows, You may try installing Windows from it as they dont require the user to enter the product key.
There are some third party utilities available online to retrieve the product keys, however you need to have the computer working to install those.
