Reinstalling Win XP on 4600

I am thinking of reinstalling Win XP using the disk's provided with my Dimension 4600. The process sounds straightforward enough in the manual.
I would like to know if it is as easy as it sounds and if there any risks or problems i might encounter by doing this.

The guides online for reinstalling XP are very good, and Microsoft has made it in easy process.  In my opinion there is only a single point in which the guides do not adequately explain something, and that applies only to a particular dialogue point and only if you going to partition the hard drive using the XP install CD.  Let me know if you plan to partition and I will expound.

This is a great guide for reinstalling on a Dell:  http://www.djdenham.com/Install%20Procedures.htm  Read thru it to see if you are up to it.

The manuel does not cover formatting and the install guide is deficient. Write to dell supoport and they will give you a site where you casn print out a guide to reformat and reinstall-pay particular attention to the drivers you will install at the end and before you start you have to set your bios to boot from cd. I have the manuel which reads ez but it is not worth .....
