How'd you delete that song? If it's still in the recycle bin, right-click and restore it. If the software works again then delete the song from within the music app. You could also try doing a System Restore to a date before you deleted that song. It won't undelete the song, but it might fix the app. Any software updates installed after the date used for the restore have to be reinstalled.

System restores does not retrieve or effect data files.

    fudgieguys,
You're right that System Restore doesn't remove or restore personal files, but the intent was to try to get the app functional again after the song was deleted.

    pj365,
You may want to try this:
Remove the app using it's own uninstaller or Windows Add/Remove control panel.
    Reboot
    Run windows system file check
    Click start>run
    type in: sfc /scannow
    (space between sfc and /)
    Click ok
Insert XP CD if sfc requests it.
    Reboot when it's done
    Reinstall the app

I was just pointing out that system restore would not be a valid solution to the problem only pointing out it does not retrieve data files. That was the intent of my reply.
