DOLL T. Read This, There is a Hotfix for this issue from Microsoft....


RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Windows XP service pack that contains this hotfix.

You receive a "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way" error message when you run a custom Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 program in Windows XP. Good Luck

Thank you for your quick response to my problem.
I am able to read my  AOL mail by logging on to Internet Explorer and I am able to use my computer for everything else.  The AOL sign on screen, at the moment, is the only part that does not work.
This weekend I will research the information that you have sent. If/when the problem is resolved I will send you an e-mail.
