I just bought a Dell AIO printer that includes the flatbed scanner.  i really have to say that I am actually fairly impressed with its performance thus far.  I would advise going a little better than the 926 if you have the money to spend on it but even the 926 has worked well so far.  I wouldnt neccessarily throw out dell as an option for the scanner you are looking for unless you already have a printer and such and arent interested in a multifunction device.
