SM Bus Controller error. (Code 1)

Running Vista 64-bit Home Premium
In the Device Manager, under Other Devices, I see a device called: SM Bus Controller
 .  It's current state is:

"This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)

There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver."

I don't know what this is or how to reinstall a driver for it. I have a DELL studio 540s.
