software problem

Recently purchased a dell 9300 laptop. also purchased some software called "Cook's Palate" that is a database program that you can build a cookbook with your own original recipes. after installing software we tried to input data. some fields are required while some are optional. you should be able to tab or use your mouse to highlight a field and update it. we found that some fields look or act like they are protected. you can't put the curor on them no matter what you do. you can't enter data into these particular fields. now here's the funny part about this. I have a dell desktop 8200. i installed the same program on it and it works fine. i uninstalled it on the laptop and reinstalled it. it still fails on the laptop...any ideas???? thanks for your help ...tom

    1) Post this on the Software - Other forum in the future.

    2) Contact the software manufacturer.  I suspect the 8200 isn't updated to Service Pack 2.
