Sonic PX Engine: PXENGINE Update Error
When I click on the upgrade file: pxengine4_12_19a.exe I am receive this error:
"Sonic Px Engine Setup
Unable to write to the current directory. This installation needs to be able to read/write to the current directory. Please change the permissions for the directory or move the installer to a new location that has the proper read/write permissions."
I have searched over at Sonic Solutions and Roxio, but cannot find a fix. The exe file is currently on my desktop as it was downloaded from the Software Manager updater. I tried placing it in the Roxio and Sonic directories with read/write permissions, but not a fix.
Any help would be appreciated!
Darlene

Are you logged in with an account that has Administrator privileges?

Try installing it in Safe Mode, or at least temporarily disabling your antiviral and antispyware apps.

Sorry...don't know what else to suggest.
Is this update essential?

Try a temp folder, and make sure administrators have full permissions. If XP Pro, right click on folder, click properties, security tab; if XP home, security tab is only available in safe mode, but can be made visible in normal mode using
