Sorry, crystal ball broken. What kind of drive are you dealing with here? It might also help if you posted your system model.

I had exactly the same problem occur to me but it was immediately after installing iTunes from the original install disk from an iPod Video. I can uninstall the drive, reconnect and still get the same message, code 41. The drive spins on startup, lights come on, but if you go to explorer the drive does not show up and is inaccesible. I have also tried to swap out the drive with other drives and have the same problem.
