system restore ??

From what I read, it seems that XP is the one that has problems with a dual boot ???
If at this point and time I only care about the Vista drive. Will I be able to do a system restore in Vista without problems ?

I have two hard drives.. one with Xp.. the original drive and a second with a clean install of Vista..

    Hey!

Well, basically, I haven't tested this, but I heard a lot of comments. Think: if we are able to travel 4-D in time, then our scientists will be able to rule the world in 1900, and take a scientists from last century, then he or she will know less than ordinary people do... Basically, Windows Vista is able to live with the restore points of Windows XP, however XP just doesn't understand what Vista is and how the points work in Vista. Therefore, Windows XP simply deletes all Vista's restore points when booted, when Vista is booted - then it doesn't mess with any restore points. So if you use Vista for a year without using XP and have a lot of restore points, booting into XP for a moment will simply remove all the restore points of Windows Vista. If you use XP for a year, and then boot into Vista for a moment, then XP's points will be there untouched and Vista will have none. So in any case, Vista is the one that is at disadvantage...

I hope they will create some patch for this. I hope I answered your question.

Somewhere on the forum it is told that it won't be fixed, because this problem is deep within XP, and would require a lot of changes to the OS.

And I believe if this isn't true, it's strange a fix hasn't been made!
