I have a Inspiron 1100 and am running WinXP. Is there any way to bring up a list of all the applications that load on system start-up? Too many applications load each time I turn on my computer, and I am unsure how to prevent them from doing so! Any advice would be helpful.
The little utility
here will allow you to control startup items.
To evaluate whether or not the programs that load at startup are having a measurable effect on system performance see the information
here. Note that it is normal to have 40 or more processes running in Windows XP.
or you can just go to Start>Run and type msconfig and press enter and then go to startup Tap then you will see all the programs that running when your computer startup running.
