In order to view the screen on both the monitors make sure that both the monitors are properly connected .. right click on the screen .. click on personalization .. selectdisplay settings .. in that click on the second monitor and check mark the option below which says Extend the desktop onto this monitor .. try to keep the resolution same for both the screens .. 1024*768 .. In case this does not help please revert back ..

I tried to put 1024 x 768 on both, but stil only have the backgroud image on the monitor 2. (Identifying the monitors correctly shows number 1 and 2). Generic NVIDIA's fault ? Do I need to install another pilot for the second monitor ? When, through Fn+F8, I active monitor 1 only, I see the whole screen. Same, when I activate monitor 2 only. But when I activate both, I see as I said, the whole screen on 1, but only the background on 2 : in fact, when I move the mouse from left to right, the pointer will traverse screen 1, then screen 2. So screen 2 is the right extension of screen 1 : for instance, if I ask for help, it will show on screen 2, not on screen 1. But this is _not_ what I want. What I want is, like under XP, to have the same complete screen on both (for demonstration purpose). How can I achieve this with Vista ? Plus now, I fear, the next time I'll have a presentation with a projector, not to be bale to see the projected screen replicated on my own laptop.
