win xp - internet explorer

I have a dim8400 running win xp.
When I open internet explorer I go to my home page ok. if I open another page from there it goes to that site then jumps to another site, all it has is a list of web pages you can go to. in the address bar "(explorer logo) about:blank" . If I use this address in another computer it says there is no web site.
So am stuck on my home page or this page. I have to use works computer to access internet.
It looks like adware, I have stopzilla and avg antivirus they see nothing.
another thing stopzilla pops up every few minutes asking if I want to change home page?
Can anyone help or do I have to reinstall xp.

Thanks Osprey4

how do they get past antivirus and firewall.

only thing I can think of is my son does not always read popups just click no button. He also has morphus installed which has popups with it. Could these be the culprits.

You've been hijacked. I would suggest running System restore to a point before this happened. That usually works. If it does not, post here:

So would it be Morpheous that caused this problem.

Is there a program to stop the hijacks.

Run Spybot Search and Destroy and Ad-aware. You can get both of these free programs on the internet, and if those don't work, get Hijack This and post a log on here.

Anti virus and firewalls do absolutely nothing to prevent browser hijackers and spyware from getting on your computer.  Installation of Morpheous automically installs a bunch of spyware and Morpheous will not work if the spyware is removed.
