Win Xp Profesional Install
I got an XP Professional CD that I bought by mistake w/o the key code. I have an old Win 98 Upgrade CD. I am planing on installing the Xp Pro in a dual boot installation with VISTA already installed. I have been conducting research on the latter. Can I install the Xp Pro using the win 98 CD/key code. Pls. note the Win 98 is an UPGRADE CD, not a full version.
I have been told that the Xp Pro setup will prompt for the 98 CD, and I should be able to install it. By the way, I think that the Xp Pro is an OEM, since it says "For distribution with a new PC...." in the disk label. The disk is legitimate (hologram, etc.).
Anybody with a similar experience?
thks.

However, it appears this looks like a hassle and may not be appropiate, as I hear on this forum.
Thks again.
