Windows 10 Update Error Code 0x80096004

Last time I updated My DELL INSPIRON 15R LAPTOP on 15 July,2016...Since then a message appears on my WINDOWS 10 UPDATE APP SAYING :"There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80096004)"

I even used Update troubleshooter and it says Problem is Fixed but still the error appears...

Pls help..!!

Please click on Advanced Options, and then View Your Updates History. Do you see any failed windows updates?

Let first see if we can get rid of windows update error:

Run the System file checker. It scan for any corrupted system files that could be causing problems and fix those corrupt files as well.

a) Press Windows key + X key at the same time, select Command prompt (Admin)

b) In the command prompt type the following command: sfc/scannow and press enter

If no corrupted system files were found , then I would suggest you try the following steps:

a) Select Command prompt (Admin)

b) In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command....

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

First, I'd suggest you download free version of Malwarebytes/ Anti-Malware, and then run it. Malwarebytes is the best for getting rid of nasty malwares.

Secondly, install free version of CCleaner, and then run it. CCleaner should help speed up your computer. I'd suggest you first click on cleaner, registry, and then tools. In startups, disable any programs that might be slowing down your system.

Lastly.....

Turn off any unnecessary background apps in Privacy Settings.

At left bottom of taskbar, click on windows icon, click on Settings, Privacy, and then Background apps.
