Windows not loading

When my computer starts the splash screen for BIOS shows up. Then it starts to load windows when the login screen should appear my screen goes black and nothing happens. WHen i boot it in safemode it lets me login and go to my desktop. I would really not like to restall windows. Does anyone have a suggestion to what is wrong and how i can fix it?? the hardware tests i did says the hardware is fine, so it's a windows thing. Any suggesttions?Thank you!

    Well I've already backed up what i could get from it. So much for programs. but I tried the system restore and that didn't work and i've reloading windows and that didn't work. I actually ran some more tests and it came up with an error and Dell is sending me a new hard drive. Thanks very much though!

    it appears to me that windows has become corrupt. 1st thing back up your data. Then go to the start menu under system tools do system restore. If that does not help, let me know because then your only alternative is to reload windows. Reloading windows is not as hard as you think. Hey if a 14 year old like me can figure it out without any instructions or help, you can do it!
