Windows XP install issue.
Hi,
I have a Dell Precision 470.
with two XEON 3.2G
2.0GB (4dimm)
DVD+/1 RW 16X PHILIPS
FX3400 256MB
250GB Serial ATA
I'm trying to install Windows XP
It write
Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration...
And after it goes to a black screen and stay like this foreever.
Any idea?
I tried to switch for another graphic card a FX570, didn't help.
It currently have Linux on it, so we know that the HD works.
Regards,
Huy

SATA Operation: Configures the operating mode of the integrated hard drive controller
Make sure it's not set to RAID, unless-of course- you have a RAID setup.
