wsetup.exe problem

wsetup.exe has uncleanable virus.  What is the function of this file?  Can I download and install a replacement?  Is this file protected or hidden?  What are the ramifications of operating without this file?  I am using Windows Me on Dimension computer.  Thanks.

    The easiest thing to do would be to boot into safemode, rename the file, reboot to normal mode and see if it affects anything.  If so, just boot back into safemode again and rename it back.  I don't think you need the file.

    Thanks exids.  I had deleted the wsetup.exe before getting your msg.  It appears that I lucked out and didn't need the file.  I don't think it was a Windows file since I couldn't find any info on it on the web.  I will remember you suggestion for the next time I have a similar situation.  Thanks again.
