C50LE won't take local network settings?

Question C50LE won't take local network settings?

Trying to set up a new C50LE via the local Network Manager Dialog. I am trying to assign the usual stuff, static IPaddr, gateway, etc...trivial stuff. I NEVER get the "Apply" button to sensitize so I can apply the setting and move on. This is an evaluation so I am not really interested in setting up a server nor will I in the future as I only require a few devices.

Is there some other setting somewhere else that needs to be disabled/enable to allow an "Apply"?

Thanks

Angry Here's one fix. Appears that there is not that much knowledgeabletraffic or any Wyse.

Could not get Network Dialog to accept any static config as root. Basically I just went in and remounted the read-only partition as rw. I could THEN get an "Apply" on the network dialog upon entry of my static IP info. Then I remounted as read-only. Kinda defeats the purpose of have a GUI to abstract the user from the internals, but I'm not the product manager. New to where things are in this Linux but they aren't too weird. Wasted a lot of time though.
