Dell Optiplex 3000 Thin Client: Microsoft Teams Screen Sharing, Call Tone, and System Hang Issues
I am writing to bring to your attention a couple of issues we've been experiencing with our Dell Thin Client OptiPlex 3000 devices in our Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment, specifically related to Microsoft Teams.
Multiple Screen Sharing in Teams: Currently, we are unable to share multiple screens within Microsoft Teams, and it seems that this functionality is only achievable when using Teams through a web link.
Microsoft Teams Call Tones: Additionally, we have encountered a problem where we are unable to hear incoming and outgoing call tones within Microsoft Teams.
- System gets hang at time of joining the meeting and if we try quit teams it gets shut off completely.
We have taken the following steps to address these issues:
- We have ensured that our Dell Thin Client OptiPlex 3000 devices are running the latest firmware, specifically version 2308(9.4.3087) AVD 2.0.2102
- We have reviewed the configurations for both Azure VDI and Microsoft Teams, checking that they are correctly set up for multiple screen sharing and audio notifications.
Despite our efforts, these issues persist, and we are seeking guidance on how to resolve them effectively. If you could provide any insights or assistance regarding these matters, we would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your response and any recommendations you may have.
