Active stylus sensitivity
I've just purchased an XPS 2 in 1 7390 4K. I am intending to use it for writing notes in OneNote. I have the Dell Premium Active Pen (PN579X) however I am experiencing some issues. I came from a Microsoft Surface which felt perfect in terms of pressure.
The stylus draws without touching the screen and just hovering over it. With my Surface it would draw only when the pressure was applied to the screen. I was wondering if this was an issue with my pen/laptop, or is this just the difference between a surface and the dell pens.
Below I've attached an example of what I am trying to describe. It almost feels as if I have to lift the pen away from the screen to dot an i. I hope this makes sense as its difficult to describe. Any advice would be appreciated!

The Latitude 7390 is compatible, not the XPS 2 in 1-7390. Here's the list-

The compatibility brochure says it is? The pen works it just doesn't seem to work the way my Surface did.

I have the same issue on a dell latitude 2 in 1 - was wondering if you ever figured this out @Wes96

I'm experiencing the same problem on my ispiron 7000 2 in1, but it's something that just started happening and it was perfectly fine about half an hour ago. I was wondering if you found a solution to this problem.

I'm having the exact same problem with the same model. A few hours ago my pen was working fine, but now my pen writes without even touching the screen.

I had a similar problem and was able to resolve it by searching for "touch screen" and going to "Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input" in control panel. Under Configure area, I clicked on the setup which asks you if it is for pen or touch, and when the pen selected, all it asks you is to touch the screen with your pen. That resolved the issue for me.
I hope it works for you, as well.
