Dell update cannot install itself

I own a XPS13. The update program tries to update itself.

But instead. It produces an error that an incompatibility has been detected. It says: please uninstall the incompatible product (see pic below).

Dell update on dell computer. normal widows 10 installation.

Any help to fix this?

Thanks,

Marcos

Welcome to the Dell Community  @Marsze

To better assist you, we would need the exact model number of your laptop/desktop???

Identify your Dell:

@Geluk1

If the error is identical, then you should look for, and uninstall Dell Command Update.  It is an older update program and it is apparently incompatible with Dell Update.  Reboot your computer and attempt to install Dell Update.

I hope this helps.  Have a great day.

@Geluk1

Are you seeing the Dell Command Update Program listed as an installed program?  If so, try using Revo Uninstaller Pro to uninstall it, if it will not uninstall cleanly using the default uninstaller.

Dell Command Update and Dell Update are separate programs.  It would appear that Dell Update cannot be successfully installed if remnants of Dell Command Update are still present.

It might be necessary to reinstall the Dell Command Update program and then to uninstall it using Revo, particularly if it is not showing as an installed program.  Reboot and try to install Dell Update again.

Good luck.  Have a great day.

Regards,
-Phil

Incidentally I used Glary Utilities to uninstall the Dell App so it'd also sort out any remnants. I can't however reinstall to then remove with the uninstaller, so am stuck in a continual loop it seems.

This shows my progs in Cntrl Panel/ task mgr.3.jpg

Which Dell application you're trying to uninstalled?

Dell Command | Power Manager, Dell update or Support Assist? Which one?

If the Dell application is Support Assist, click on link below:

SupportAssist for PCs and Tablets Clean Uninstall and Reinstall | Dell US

By the way, it appears your Ad Blocker is blocking the computer from uninstalling the Dell app.

Try uninstalling the Ad Blocker and any other antivirus program temporary, and then try to uninstall/ install the Dell app. Thanks for posting the image for everyone to see, hopefully your question get resolved.

Has anyone been able to resolve this? I am experiencing the same exact incompatible product issue preventing install of Command | Update.  I can't uninstall the incompatible product since it doesn't show up anywhere. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
