This page at the MS forum may help. If worse gets to worse and you get to the point where you do not want to reinstall the OS, you could always pull the SSD and using an enclosure copy your thesis off the SSD to another computer. Also assuming you have an MS account, it is possible that your Thesis is being stored on the Onedrive.

If there is data on the drive you don't have backed up, do nothing until you make a backup.

You will need an external USB enclosure for the M.2 NVMe drive (example below).  Remove the drive, mount it externally and plug it into a working system.  Make a backup of the data on the system you cannot afford to lose, copying it to the working system's drive.  Once you have verified that you have a backup, then proceed with the Dell diagnostics (F12 at powerup).

Once the hardware is verified, you can try the auto-repair under Windows first.

You need something like this:

Service manual details how to access the drive:

Maybe it helps someone in the future.
I had a similar issue today after bios update and my laptop was unable to boot windows.

Solution:
https://filestore.community.support.microsoft.com/api/images/af45592a-40fb-497e-907e-f7333ef4b5a1?up...
Automatic Repair window -> click Advanced options -> navigate to Troubleshoot -> Advanced options -> Command Prompt
1. Type command: cd C:\Windows\System32\Logfiles\Srt
2. Type command: type SrtTrail.txt
Look for the root cause in the displayed content.
(For me, there was a problem with MbamElma.sys (Malwarebytes anti-malware software))

Fix 9: Disable Early Launch Anti-Malware Protection
Follow these easy steps:
1. In the Boot Options Menu, click on “Troubleshoot”.
2. Select Advanced options > Startup Settings.
3. Your computer will restart and then present you with a list of options. Select Disable early launch anti-malware protection.
4. Restart your computer and see if the error has been resolved.

Here is a detailed description about the issue(s)/fix:
