My touch pad is not responding to clicks. It's fine with tapping and moving the cursor, but it won't respond to a left click.
I want to upgrade the driver for the touch pad to see if that solves it, but I have some sort of issue there. In my programs I have "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver - 19.0.14.1" which has been corrupted - I can't uninstall it because the path is not found. Can anyone direct me to a link to that driver? One solution might be to re-install it, but I can't find it anywhere reliable online. Alternatively, maybe there's a better Synaptics driver I should use? Do I need a Synaptics driver or am I covered with the Microsoft HID driver?
Thanks U2 - I gave it a try but it didn't install. I got a message saying "No need to install [Synaptics...]". I figure Windows 10 must remove the need for touch pad drivers? It looks like it's probably a hardware issue - I'll try a replacement touch pad. Mike
